Inauguration Chapel

As a kick off to the Inauguration Week we had a special chapel service...complete with special music, various readers, pray-ers, and a special message by Grazina (one of our Lithuanian faculty members.)  It was a wonderful celebratory way to start the week of festivities!

A much fuller stage than we normally have in chapel!

Ugly Duckling Cup

The Ugly Duckling Cup is our annual campus event where teams of students and faculty/staff build rafts and race across the pond between the residence halls.  It's always a comical and fun event.  Here are some photos...

Earl and Rebecca came to visit!

The first weekend of September was one that I was looking forward to with great anticipation.  My childhood best friend, Rebecca, and her husband, Earl., came to visit me!  They were here Thursday evening through Monday morning.  We had an absolutely wonderful time together...playing games, eating yummy foods, and talking for hours on end!

We spent Saturday afternoon going to the Spit and seeing the beauty of the Baltic!

It was a gray and windy day - check out those waves!

Rebecca and I had been to the spit in February of 2011 with our friend
Kristine, so we wrote her a little note in the sand.
