Intercultural Fair!

Another exciting part of our 20th anniversary celebration was the Intercultural Fair that happened downtown on Friday afternoon/early evening.  We kicked off the event with a parade from LCC to the city square.  There was a marching band from a local school that led us as we carried flags  from the 26 different countries represented at LCC this year!  When we got to the square there was a big tent set up with tables for each country.  Our students and/or faculty & staff stood there with souveniers (and some treats!) so that the community could learn more about us.  We also had a stage where some speeches were given and then various student and community groups performed songs and dances from their native countries.  (Photos/videos from those performances will be another post.)  It was a chilly, but highly enjoyable event!

Here comes the parade being led by the band!
